Local Community Response to Violence against Women and Children
This Violence against Women 365 International Poster Exhibition aims to raise awareness of the local specialist services here in Kerry for survivors of rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. The Violence against Women 365 International Poster Exhibition is touring Kerry from 9th-29th September and can be viewed in Castleisland, Caherciveen and the Institute of Technology Tralee over the next three weeks. While focused primarily on the issues of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault, it also covers related issues such as teen dating violence, prostitution, child and elder abuse.
Since 2004, the exhibition which is based in Ireland has travelled to the U.K., Belgium, Cyprus, Canada and the U.S. And after its short time in Kerry is traveling to Thailand, back to Dublin, and on again to Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for local community groups, secondary schools and individuals to view this renowned work, to heighten their awareness, encourage discussion and get to know the services that work here in Kerry.
